Tyndall Building, UCC, Cork
Hennessy Timber Group was involved in the design and fitting of timber cladding for both the interior and exterior of the Tyndall Building at University College Cork. Hennessy Timber Group used Cedar Cladding for the exterior of the building to create a simplistic yet contemporary look. Cedar Cladding was used in the size of 145 x 20 mm and was fitted directly on to metal sections of the building.
For the interior of the building Cedar Cladding was also used. The timber interior has again a simplistic yet modern design with a consistent finish throughout. Hennessy’s commitment to design excellence is strongly reflected in the exceptional aesthetics of this building. The Cedar Cladding which was used internally was Class O Treated, meaning it is fire retardant and ensuring health and safety issues are being adhered to effectively. Much of the work for this project was fitted off scaffolding and self-propelled mechanical machinery. Hennessy Timber Group ensure health and safety is at the core of all design and fitting of timber.
